How to Add Products to a Budget Template

Please Note!

In order to add products to your budget templates you MUST have previously added your Brands & Discounts into the DesignAlign program.  This will allow our Global Product Catalog to display ONLY the brands that your firm represents as well as displaying both your estimated cost and estimated retail pricing.

Budget Template

1. Open the Budget Template to which you would like to add products 
   
2. Click on the "Category" (located on the left-hand side of the screen)
   
3. Click on the "Subcategory" ( located on the left-hand side of the screen)
   
4. Click on "Add"
   
   (located under the column you want to add products to) 
   
   
   
5. There are two ways to navigate the Global Product Catalog
   

Global Product Catalog

1. Click on the appropriate "Category"
   
2. Click on the "Subcategory"
   
3. Use the filters to refine your search (located on the left-hand side of the screen)
   
1. Preferred Brands will always be displayed first 
   
   
   
2. You may need to click on "All Products" to see additional brands 
   
   
   
4. Click on the "Plus" sign to add a product to your budget category
   
   (located on the upper right-hand corner of the product image) 
   
   
   
1. These products will be displayed on the right-hand side of the screen
   
2. To remove a product, click on the "X"
   
   (located to the right of the item) 
   
   
   
5. Clicking on a product image will open the product details page
   
1. Click on "Add" (located in the upper right-hand corner of the product image
   
   )
   
    
   
   
2. Click on the breadcrumb trail to return to the product results page (located along the top of the page) 
   
6. You can continue to add as many products as you would like to your budget category
   
7. When you are done adding products, Click on "Add"
   
   (located on the lower right-hand corner) 
   
   
   

1. Enter a "Model Number" or "Product Name" into the Search Bar 
   
   (located along the top of the page) 
   
   
   
2. Select the item from the list provided
   
3. Click on "Add"
   
   (located in the upper right-hand corner of the product image) 
   
   
   
4. Click on the breadcrumb trail (located along the top of the page) to return to the product results page 
   
   
   
5. You can continue to add as many products as you would like to your budget category
   
6. When you are done adding products, Click on "Add" 
   
   (located on the lower right-hand corner) 
   
   
   

Please Note!

Adding products to your budget templates is a great way to assist your homeowners with product education and comparison during the budgeting phase of the the project.  It's important to note that they are NOT making product selections at this time.
